When the options of beautiful bamboo and/or acrylic are chosen, the whole unit becomes a “Tree Free” piece of furniture, so no trees will have been involved in any step of their manufacture. The overall design and construction of the frames, supports the bamboo and acrylic via its stainless polished steel rivet screws to hold all of the panels in place, thus allowing us to use these contemporary materials in this creative and versatile way.
Using Bamboo is the ultimate green material, as it has a growing rate of up to 1.5m per day – which provides the world (and us) with a fabulous sustainable material. Our bamboo is supplied in its natural finish following its side press bonding manufacturing process with just a gentle sanding and and the application of a light coating of an antique furniture wax, provides a smooth silky finish, just like any wood. There is a warm inner feeling in handling such a natural sustainable product. Combining together with our strong flat pack aluminium frame, bamboo shelving and our concealed assembly system, customers are sure to enjoy the straightforward assembly of our units.
If bamboo doesn’t fit your vision, then our outrageous colours from the acrylic range are just enough to further indulge your passion for colour and fun. Our acrylic is made from the new Green cast re-cyclable acrylic from a clever company in Italy and is UV resistant, very strong, non-fade, and easy to clean, bringing you peace of mind. Whether you seek opaque, translucent or to even embellish your pieces with our glitter options, our wide range of combinations and options are there for you.
More affordable options are available in our MDF Whiteboard, or Blackboard or Oak and Light wood veneers – which also benefits from the same support functions of the aluminium frame, which allows us to make the MDF only 3mm thick! Compared to standard run-of-the-mill fully MDF furniture available currently, the overall consumption of wood is 75% less, with a similar strength and durability!
Safety
A new safety feature that we have engineered and offer on our taller units is our swivel wall fixing. This hides behind the frame and comes with the correct masonry drill and fixings to ensure your furniture is secure, and protects you and your belongings. Furthermore, all of our frames have rubber stoppers on the exposed ends and feet, protecting you and your floors and carpets from any potential damage.
